A group of Covid patients put up at the Meritorious school, Bathinda have accused authorities of failing to provide them with requisite amenities, including timely meals. The patients went to the terrace of the school, which is being used as an isolation facility, and raised slogans against the state government. The protest jolted authorities into doing the needful. For the second consecutive day, Punjab recorded the highest single day surge in Covid cases by registering 1, cases and 23 deaths in the last 24 hours. A day after filing complaint against two cops saying they thrashed three children in the police station, a woman from Ajitwal in Moga district withdrew the complaint on Sunday, saying that she was misguided into filing it.
